Recruitment Update – Human Resources – June 2017

Whilst there has been a noticeable slow down in recruitment activity over the past three months, scratch beneath the surface and it soon becomes apparent that employers remain cautiously optimistic about the economic outlook and continue to recruit. Two factors seem to be driving this; firstly, general employee turnover and, secondly, organisational change – whether in terms of structural change or changes to systems and processes. Accordingly, we are seeing a mix of permanent and interim opportunities, generalist and specialist in nature. Listed below is just a selection of HR vacancies we are currently recruiting for:

Head of HR, International Law Firm, City

Head of Learning & Development, International Law Firm, City

Interim HRBP, International Law Firm, City

Interim HRIS Manager, with Cloud-based experience, International Law Firm, City

Recruitment Update – Human Resources Vacancies – April 2017

As we come to the end of April, I thought it might be helpful to provide a bit of an update on HR vacancies amongst our Legal, Professional and Financial Services clients. The past 6 months have been extremely busy for our clients and this, in turn, has meant that we have been kept very busy too, notably in the interim and contract market and also in specific areas such as HR Systems, Learning & Development, Recruitment.

Right now, with the financial year end, Easter and a General Election on the horizon, the market is relatively quieter but, that said, based on conversations with our clients, there is no doubt, that many are planning ahead with a view to recruiting between May and September on a number of fronts. As a result, I am particularly keen to hear from HR professionals, permanent and interim, with specific experience in:

Change Management

HR Business Partnering

HR Systems including Workday

Compensation & Benefits

Learning & Development

So, if you too are planning ahead and thinking about your next career move or interim assignment, then please get in touch. In the meantime, I’m very keen to hear from HR professionals interested in one or other of the following opportunities:

Senior HRM, Professional Services, London

Interim HRBP, Professional Services, London

HRM, Legal Services, London

Interim HRM, Legal Services, London

EMEA L&D Manager, Banking, London

People Development Manager, Professional Services, London

Benefits Adviser, Legal Services, London

Graduate Recruitment & Development Administrator, Legal Services, London

For details of these and other opportunities please call Michael Pickup at Oyster Search & Selection on 01728621012.

Human Resources Update – Junior HR Vacancies – April 2017

Speaking with a number of our clients over the past few weeks in the run-up to the financial year end, it seems that several have plans to recruit junior HR professionals in to their respective teams in the months ahead. In particular, there is a real need at the HR Advisor and Senior Adviser levels, together with what I might call, Junior HR Manager/Junior HRBP levels.

Consequently, I’d be very keen to hear from potential candidates with 3 – 8 years Generalist HR experience who are considering a move in the next few months and who would welcome the heads-up on opportunities and, perhaps, a more general chat about their careers to date and how we can help going forward.

Please feel free to give me a call on 01728621012 or, alternatively, drop me a line: michaelpickup@oystersearch.com.
