Recruitment Update – Human Resources – December 2016
Welcome to our latest Human Resources recruitment update. It’s fair to say that, notwithstanding uncertainty over Brexit, the economy and global events wider afield, the domestic HR market has been relatively buoyant over the past few months and remains so in the run-up to Christmas and the New Year.
Of particular note, is client interest, across a range of sectors including Legal and Professional Services, Banking and Insurance, in HR specialists with expertise in HR Systems, especially Workday and SuccessFactors. The other, discernable trend is in the need for HR professionals to work on an interim and/or project basis at the £400-600 per day level.
More widely, we are witnessing profound change in the Legal sector as firms continue to consolidate and merge with their competitors here and abroad. A number of clients are also wrestling with the (not unrelated) implications of new technology on their businesses, especially Artificial Intelligence, and about the skill sets employees will need in the future. This includes HR professionals who some clients believe will increasingly need change and project management experience.
