Recruitment Update – Law Firm Client – February 2016

In a departure from our usual updates about the legal sector and the demand for lawyers and HR professionals, today we focus specifically on one of our clients which, we are pleased to announce, is also a new client for Oyster.

By way of background, the firm has its roots in the US and a long established presence both there and in Asia and it is particularly well known for its expertise in Litigation and Corporate M&A in sectors such as Life Sciences and Technology. Culturally, it has a distinct make-up, with a diverse range of employees and no particular “type” of person.

As you’d expect, the work is first rate and the clients blue chip. What you might not expect is that target hours are similar to a Top 20 UK law firm as opposed to a White Shoe firm, so whilst you will undoubtedly work hard, you can also achieve some sort of work-life balance. Many Trainees stay with the firm long term.

The firm’s European strategy is focused upon growing across a number of practice areas in London and continental Europe so if you are a 1-3PQE Corporate M&A lawyer, a Capital Markets lawyer with equity derivatives experience or perhaps a specialist in Technology transactions, then please do get in touch to find out more.

Alternatively, for a more general discussion about our client and/or your career more then please contact Michael Pickup.
